Like many great bands, Tubalele's tale begins with a few friends and a few beers.  The conversation went something like this:

MEREDITH: People at the open mics keep coming up to me and requesting ukulele covers of AC/DC. But I'd need a bass player for that.

STEVE: I play the bass.

 

MEREDITH: That's not funny, though.

(A brief pause.)

 

STEVE: ... I also play the tuba.

 

MEREDITH: Done.

 

Steve (tuba) & Meredith (ukulele) played as "Tubalele" for the first time at O'Briens Irish Pub in Temple, TX in December 2012.

Cassie (clarinet) latched on in January 2013 and the rest is history.
